Estonian inflation falls in September

TALLINN (AFP) -- Inflation in Estonia fell by 0.4 percent in September from the previous month, to 3.8 percent, the national statistics office said.
The drop in inflation in September was mainly influenced by lower prices of motor fuel, the statistics office said.
"Estonia can expect a slow decrease of inflation, but the figure will still be around four percent at the end of the year," Estonian central bank analyst Andres Saarniit said in a statement.
Estonia had plans to join the eurozone at the start of next year, but abandoned them because of high inflation.
It has set the beginning of 2008 as its new target.
